True Beauty

When it comes to planning what make up style you will go for on your wedding day, remember that you should still look like you and not allow yourself to go too over the top.

Depending on your budget, you could hire the help of a professional makeup artist or apply your own makeup; whichever option you decide upon, here are a few basic tips. Dark circles and dry skin is common in brides-to-be due to the build-up of stress from planning and decision making. These can be combated with an eye roll on or a colour corrector.

Glam up, make up!

You should look like the best version of yourself whilst feeling confident and beautiful. Choose a non-SPF based foundation to avoid flashback in pictures and if you are going for false eyelashes, try and choose natural ones without too much depth or length to them.

The Brighter the Better

Adding some highlighter and a bit of shimmer will give your complexion a healthy glow and further enhance your features. Lightly brush a highlighting cream or powder over your upper cheek bones, brow bone and bridge of the nose.

Raise your Brow!

Make sure that you get your eyebrows waxed and shaped at least a week before and tweeze any stray hairs the day before to avoid redness. Eyebrows are an important part of beauty regimes. Remember that eyebrows are sisters, not twins so be careful when trying to match them to one another.

Nail it!

It’s also a good idea to book an appointment for a soothing and hydrating facial and a manicure/pedicure. It will ensure that your nails look good for the big day. When you see that all important photograph of the rings on you and your partners fingers, you don’t want to see chipped or short nails.
